Unreliable RAM can cause a multitude of problems. Corrupted data, crashes and unexplained behavior. Bad RAM is one of the most frustrating computer problems to have as symptoms are often random and hard to pin down.

Here are the 2 main reasons and verification you can use to troubleshoot your Memory Sticks.

Installation Error

If you think your PC is slow or should be performing better, it can be due to a memory problem.

Open System in Windows and look for how much memory is detected by your system

If this is not what you have put, please verify:

- The speed of the RAM (must be the same for both stick)

- The voltage of the RAM

- Both stick are well fitted

We advise using 2 identical stick to avoid confusion.

To verify the RAM inserted in you PC, you can also use the SPD (Serial Presence Detection) tab in CPU-Z software.

Bad Memory Stick
